It would be more helpful if you can tell us what unit you have? Does it have netmd capability? If it is, are you using simpleburner? If it isn't then what are u using (example xitel dg2 port, xitel analog pc link)?

Here is a link for direct sony accessories and parts http://servicesales.sel.sony.com/service/homepage.htm

The mz-n505 is a net md unit. This means that you can download music onto your 505 faster than realtime via computer. There is no unit with the code mz-505 pc. I'm assuming you mean the mz-r500pc. This is a unit which can only be recorded in real time. It usually comes with an analog pc link. Between the two I'd say go for the mz-n505 because it can record in both real time or via netmd. The prices on ebay are very affordable for this unit so go for it

Try www.minidiscaccess.com for the md sportsbelt.

Labeling expierence[Updated on Friday, March 7th](many .jpg)
Ziggy replied to Christopher's topic in The Loft
Nice labels you have there. You've reminded me that I need to label my discs in some way. -
I don't know what is wrong but I don't think that you should consider repairing it. With the amount it costs to repair it (I'm assuming around 90US), buy a new unit.
-
It seems like there is something obviously wrong with your remote. Contact the overseas dealer and ask them if about their return/repair policies.

Minidisc.org only has a translated version of the N10 manual available http://www.minidisc.org/manuals/sony/sony_...mzn10_trans.pdf Its better than nothing.

Both are good units, however between the two, I'd go for the 909 the 707 has netmd capability, if that is what you are looking for. The 909 only records in real time. You can read this review on the 909 http://www.minidisc.org/brian_youn/MZR909/index.html

You can get a MZ-N1 for 400 Canadian at www.canadacomputers.com located in Pacific Mall. Go to the site-> Electronics-> Go to MP3/CD players. The N1 is listed at $399

After a while, you get to know where the buttons of your unit are located. I find that titling the songs by hand is not as bad as people think.

www.minidisc.hk.st 369US which includes shipping

I store them in ikea Moppe Utility Storage Cases

To get out of service mode, you simply remove the adaptor, or battery. Whichever you are running the power from.

Here is a link to the nero simple burner method http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...&highlight=nero

if you buy it a www.minidisc.ca you can buy it for 476.25 canadian, which is a lot cheaper than 600 (probably price from futureshop.ca) the reason why i think that it is that expensive is that if something were to go wrong with your unit(within a year), you can take it directly to futureshop and they'd repair it at no cost. If you purchase it for example lets say online, you'd have to deal with sony canada(since units come with a 1 year warranty)

http://news.sel.sony.com/pressrelease/3093 I didn't think that the units were really that great looking. Personally my favourite out of the 5 has gotta be the n10.

tell your friend to use the nero/simple burner method (link here) If you use this method, you can edit tracks freely with no hassle in the future http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...&highlight=nero If you want to erase, use your friends open mg and "check in" the song. in that way you can remove the song from your disc.
