  1. http://www.voltageconverters.com/voltage_c...converters.html Works like a champ.
  2. If you use that link, minidisc.org will garner a small sum from the sale and that money will be used for server upgrades and stuff - with no additional cost to you.

  7. Thanks Venezuela, and please write back with a review of this nice head-unit!
  8. Sony Sony HMD-1G Hi-MD MiniDisc blank $9 bucks a pop, $10 flat rate shipping - and one of the best customer service departments available.
  9. Move the whole thread or just snippets? I honestly find it relevant to the forum it's within, ya know, and I'm sure it's helped many..
  10. Welcome to the forums. Sounds like something isn't right with that MD unit, but before I advise something..have you tried another MD?

    Dilema

Actually, what I failed to mention was that the aforementioned units came with regular MD discs instead of Hi-MD ones. Weird, eh?
  12. Try reading the NetMD faq and also searching. Most likely we've discussed your software woe before. Simple Burner 2 is available for download in the NetMD/Hi-MD forum; it's a sticky.
  13. I'd go for the NH900 or the NH1 in that pricerange, then..[preferbly a NH900 and then spending the rest of the $ on a good mic]

    Dilema

Initally this wasn't 100% true; some units did not. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but there was a period of time where a few units did not come with such.
  15. Well..I bit the bullet and bought an ATI-made Radeon 9800 pro 128mb/256mbit. It's last generation or so, but it's better than nothing. I sold my 9600se to a co-worker. I decided to go with the 9800 pro because I believe that Star Wars Galaxies' engine would not really benefit too much from a card such as the nVidia 6800 [aside from inane multiples of AA + such]. I feel I'll get a very good experience with the 9800 pro and Far Cry, too. That's all I really have time to play these days - although I did see Doom 3 last night and it was sick. I'm sure it'll handle that fine, too. I did buy it retail, not used, and paid more for such, but it was $179 and that's one of the best prices I've seen in a while. Should be interesting.
  16. Time to time I look over the memberlist just to see how many people on average register with the forums. By doing so [combined with your posts], I learn a little bit about each and every one of you. A perfect example is a website that you've made revolving around whatever you do. Obviously, alot of this is music, spoken word, and recording entusiast related which sparks my interest - What do you do?
  17. Sonicstage 2. Are you using 2 or 1.5?
  18. Hm. Not really sure - perhaps you could e-mail them? Also, can you mention that your sale was "inspired" from forums.minidisc.org? They'll give us a small percentage of the sale [with no additional cost to you] that we can use for server upgrades and luxury vacations and such. Just kidding on the last part. Or are I..

    Dilema

The NHF800 comes with "VPT" Acoustic Engine (Virtual Phone Technology = Virtual Surround). That's about the only difference.
  20. Indeed. I've even called Sony about the NF520D business and they said that it had a backlit remote! :whatever:
  21. Hey George, It'll be at least until Thursday or Friday before I can have a decent pictorial made. I'm transitioning between harddrives at the moment. lol - Sam ended up building the whole damn thing! We broke the dvd writer, though. [long story that I do not want to get into] :rasp: So far so good, though..I'm pretty impressed. I can't wait till Socket 754 high end processors go down in price; it'll be nice to get a Athlon 64 3700+/1mb L2 cache down the road. I sometimes question if Socket 939 was the way to go, but I'm not hardcore and I know this rig will last me a while if I treat it right. Time to get a good vid card now and really see what this sucker can do.
  22. Contacting Sony's parts department or doing manual searches would be a good idea. I will note that it'll probably be costly for another charging stand.
  23. lol, good stuff. I've actually got the case now, along with the motherboard and PSU. The Antec PSU is well worth the $70 I paid for it. I can see now how wise it is to employ a higher-quality power supply. The only thing that is unfortunate this eve is that my processor won't arrive until tomorrow. Blast. :rasp:
