  1. eBay's a treasure trove for that, Nismo; I'm sure you'll find something in no time.
  2. Perhaps this? http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/...d/item/SP-BMC-2 The only drawback is that the clips cost $20 extra. Maybe you could fashion your own. I'm really not too keen on mics and such so perhaps someone else will chime in.
  3. If I told you, then I'd have to kill you, etc etc. [lol] Enjoy the music..that's what its all about.
  4. Whoa, I would upgrade to Firefox .9.2, as .8 has quite a few security issues. Can you take screenshots of where the karma errors occur? You cannot give karma to yourself, remember that. I doubt I'll give myself anything, but I am interested in rewarding others. Poor skyther already has -2. I know I'm here alot, and I know I post alot, but this place is my "baby" and you know how things go with bugs [which have been pretty much corrected as of late]. I also work for a cable internet service provider, and when things aren't busy there I idle here.

  6. Welcome! There is a way to upload your recordings. Unfortunately, it's not as fast as a USB upload, but it's along the same guidelines. Hi-MD devices have the capability to play back audio through USB [digitally]. You can take advantage of this process by another program such as Adobe Audition, Audacity via capturing that audio and converting it into wav, hence a pure digital upload. The only negative? It's realtime. Supposedly Sony will release a conversion program so you will be able to upload seamlessly, but don't hold your breath. :rasp:
  7. Continued from this thread: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t=4998 Not to be pretentious, but I know alot of Hi-MD [and so do some of the regulars]. I also notice that in threads people will come in and ask questions about Hi-MD in a thread that is related to such, but not what's related to the actual topic, etc. So, as a Hi-MD guru, I will entertain all one-liners here! Feel free to ask me anything. If your question is more than one line, please post a thread instead!
  8. The thread has reached 200 replies. Time to lock.
  9. Did you try my link? Just do it. :rasp:
  10. Try this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details...&displaylang=en [assuming you're using WinXP] p.s. So when you did uninstall before, you did the registry edits, uninstalled all openmg components, all folders, etc?
  11. I've had success using toothpaste [preferbly with whitening] + a cotton swab. Slightly dampen the tip of the swab, and put a smidge of toothpaste on the top. Work that into the LCD screen [like you'd buff a car] preferbly in a circular motion [and make sure you press down slightly whilst doing so] and let it idle for a minute. Dampen the other end of the swab with water and use that to remove the toothpaste. I'm sure you get the jidst of what I'm trying to say..just make sure you don't do anything in excess. This method worked wonders on a scratched mc12elk remote I used to employ a year back. Honest. You don't have to dampen the cotton swab too much, anyways. The main bit is to make sure that you work that toothpaste in, and even if some gets in the crack between the LCD + the unit it's easy to get out and doesn't affect the paint. End result is usually a clean LCD and a minty unit! Some scratches [thinking severe] cannot be removed with the toothpaste method, no matter how many coats you apply. It can lessen the obtrusive appearance, though.. It stunned me at first how I transformed a slightly scratched MC12ELK to super-mint [haw haw :rasp:] condition with this method. If you have a heavy scratch, you may want to consider another coat of 'paste to see what occurs.

    Sorry

Welcome. If you back up your database of omg tracks and such [through the backup tool that comes with Sonicstage + just to be safe], you can download Sonicstage 2.1 [which has no check-in/out limitations] from connect-europe.com. I think in your case it's worth it. Don't get dismayed by the stories of failure with Sonicstage 2.#. The success rate is much higher. If all else fails, I'm sure one of us could burn you a copy or something.
  13. The NH900 battery is a normal gumstick battery, whereas the N1 is not. They cannot be interchanged. Just to make sure you're on the same page - it's possible with the NH1, but not the N1.
  14. Let me rephrase: It's obvious that the differences between Hi-SP and PCM to the average consumer would be nearly nil, amongst other things. Better?
  15. Just to note - you cannot "record vinyl" with this unit as it doesn't have a mic in.
  16. Looks damn good indeed; so good that I'm considering it over other certain HDD units.
  17. Welcome, souless. What's the error message you recieve?
  18. Welcome to the forums. Essentially, iceeedtea has answered your question. It has been reported that you cannot have high speed transfer unless you utilize Sonicstage 2 and OS9. Nero and Simple Burner will not work unless your probably using OS9 as well. Writing an entire disc at greater speed is not possible with OS X. I recommend you search a bit and you'll find the answers you need.
  19. Hello there, and welcome to the forums. What's your maximum budget? I wouldn't want to give a recommendation that would break the bank, so to speak.
  20. Calm down there. Are you sure that you absolutely followed the instructions in the faq? Registry edits, uninstalls and all?
  21. PDOG, uninstall via the directions in the NetMD faq and then install a fresh copy from connect.com.
  22. Maybe the wav converter is already there and a subsequent update [sonicstage 2.3/4/5, whatever] will unlock it. If it's another program, then Sonicstage 2 gets my "bloatware of the year" award. When you speak to Sony bhangra, whom do you speak to? High level product specialists? Insiders, what? I thought your information was solid and the people delivering it were of such caliber. Are they just typical Sony confused? Talking to the blokes in America is a near waste of time. p.s. Karma point for your active participation as of late and good topic.
  23. I'll get to that next, Daijoubu. Anyway, added a simple Karma mod. You can only Applaud [+] or Smite [-] another user once a hour. Moderators and administrators have the ability to do this unlimited times. Eventually I may put in a system of rewards [free discs, etc etc] for those who have enough karma points. Next time someone helps you or you see another user help someone in a way that should be rewarded, give them a good karma point. If someone is arrogant and/or rude to another user, give them a bad karma point, etc. You cannot give karma points to yourself. I also made some small asthetic changes to viewtopic.
  24. It will have to be converted to ATRAC3/plus first via Sonicstage, which is chock full of DRM. If you wish to hold the *.mp3 as data only [and unreadable by the unit], you can do so without conversion.
  25. Could be a software issue. You may want to try uninstalling via the directions in the NetMD faq and then installing a fresh copy from connect.com.
