lol, not quite. :grin: I think they were going for the rustic look, and the pictures probably don't do it justice. The appearance makes me think that this is something that I would expect to see hundreds of years from now, like an old relic or something like that. Anyone seen one of these IRL?

This unit does not have a microphone input, but does have an optical input which you could use to record [like a microphone] via a battery box and such. There's more about this in the Live Recording forum. p.s. The DR420 has a mic in.

We deleted both hosted builds because we figured there wouldn't be any point since it was hosted at connect.com and people weren't asking for installers. Did a decent number on the bandwidth, anyways. :sleep: [30-50 gigs a month, iceeed]

Most of the speed issues have been fixed, but there are a few formatting/etc errors across the forum. They will be corrected gradually. I've had to remove the "word count" modification because it was inducing problems. I may add it back later.

Welcome! :happy: Few and far between..for now. If it's recorded optically, then it's not pseudo anything. Pseduo-SP only applies to NetMD transfers. What's your maximum budget? ---------- Not sure about question #4, hopefully someone can help you.

To echo Gigahurtz, it'll be worth it in the fall. I think it's worth it now to be honest, since you CAN upload, but only this way: You have to play back the recording through the computer via Sonicstage [a Hi-MD unit can play back audio through the USB port without having to upload] and then capture that audio stream via a program like CoolEdit or another that can facilitate such. Search around, there's more on this.

So you uninstalled the programs and did the registry edits? If you did all of that and then installed Sonicstage from connect.com it should work. What error are you getting now?
