  1. Well, I've tried reinstalling the drivers, reinstalling the programs, checking the cables and even shouting at it. The music still sounds like crap... I'm thinking that the unit itself may be faulty.
  2. I've tried the USB cable both in the player directly and in the stand: same thing. I would imagine that if there ws a problem with the USB cable itself, the player or software would complain about not getting the correct data. I've also tried encoding music into the Music drive in SonicStage (where it plays back perfectly) and then transferring the music to minidisc: same problem. I'm running a 2.2GHz P4, so I don't think it's a speed issue. I tried OpenMG jukebox on one system and it didn't recognise the player: I'll try it on another today. My feeling is that is the MD player driver: does anybody know if there are any other drivers available for download that I could try?
  3. Hi all: I've just taken delivery of a new N10, but I'm having some problems. Specifically, it isn't playing back music properly. When I rip a CD over the USB connection, everything seems to be fine, but when I play the music back, it stutters, sounding like a damadged CD. I've tried copying the music with different programs (SonicStage 1.5, Real Player) and different brands of Minidisc, but I get the same result. But when I record music from the line in or microphone connections, it plys back fine. I'm using the drivers from the Japanese CD that came with the device. Any ideas?
