I thought that Hi-Md was going to continue on for pros to possibly replace DAT. Has anyone ever heard any mention of that, Thanks!

Does anyone know why that is? Is it a problem with SS or was it designed to do such a thing. I would hope there would be a fix for that. Would it be better to use different software to upload from HiMD?

I thought that that Sony's Wav Converter would not allow conversions to WAV if the source was from a digital source. Are you saying that you recorded your audio with a "MIC" or "Line In" to the PCM format on HiMD? In that case I can see the Wav Converter working with that. Oh, and I thought that the trasfer from HiMD to computer would be faster than that. Why did it take so long?

Is your software easy to use? Another words, is it point and click? I had read ealier that one had to know "commands" and that sounds like a DOS thing to me...something I'm not very good at. Thanks,

I have noticed with at least one of the new portable Hi-MD recorders and the new Hi-MD players, Sony is using the term "High Definition" digital amp. Anyone know if this is like Sharp's use of their 1 bit digital amp? I would expect that it probably is and probably has about the same sound quality.

Not an expert, however I read that these emulators do not have the drivers for USB devices or something like that. So I don't beleive it will work.
