I'm not sure what you mean, the remote is part of the cord. It plugs into the headphone jack and a slot right beside the headphone jack. There's about a foot long cord, then the controls, and a jack to plug in a pair of headphones.

I lost the in-line remote cord that came with my MZ-N707. Does anyone know where i can find a new one? I found an in-line remote for a different model on eBay, but I'm concerned that it won't work. thanks, Josh
