  1. Sometimes when I FastForward a song the unit makes a fast and whirling sound and then stops and advances the song as normal. Happens not often but it never did it before. I thought it was the TDK mj blanks but with sony blanks it happens too. Maybe the lens is a bit dirty, it's strange anyone experienced the same???
  2. I'm sure i'm not the only one, I miss aline out in my 707 like hell. The sound that comes from the phones out at max volume is crappy and I can't use it in a car or to an amplifier, DAMN. Why CD players that are not worth a pimento (spanish expression) have a line out and my +200$ 707 don't ??? Shame on you Sony.
  3. If you want to play the songs in a group and only 1 group you have activate the group mode by pressing more than 2 seconds the group button. Now you can even shuffle in the group you select. I'm sure you already guessed this one but in case you didn't here is the answer. See ya!!!
  4. I have a N707 and I'm wondering how long is the rechargeable battery life that comes with the unit. Sony post a 16 hours in LP2 mode but when I listen to mine in 3 hours the battery is half empty already! I don't press play and just listen I also press the buttons and jump song, search and that stuff. Is the 16 hours if you only press play and leave it playing without touching anything? Anyway I doubt I can get more than 8 hours of this battery. Has anybody played the unit till the battery runs empty? If so please tell me how long did it last to you. Thanks.
  5. I was listening to my N707 and as everybody knows in Sony units if you pause the reproduction and press forward it advances faster than it would do without pausing. Well in the N707 if you do this with the main unit it will work but if you try with the remote (pause and advance) it jump between tracks, it doesn't advance through the song you are listening!!! Isn't it so? or am I just damn lazy? Anyway, is the eject button in yours N707 so soft as in mine? I mean you have to press firm and gently or it won't open. I say this 'cause my friends R700 the eject button seems more firmer and when you press it the disc pops out with strenght but on the N707 it's a bit weaker. Anyone experienced this? :?:
  6. The battery bump doesn't affect me. I love the fact of being able to use AA batteries, I go for a travel and I don't need to carry the battery charger, just buy a cheap alkaline AA and I've hours of music to go. No more voltage or plug problems!!! I don't like the battery add-ons like screwing a AA adaptor to your MD (N1 for example), that makes the MD unit a real bulky one. As I said I don't mind the bulk, even when I put my 707 on a plain surface the angle inclination makes the unit more easy to view!
