Since there is no known way to transfer using NetMD in Linux, I've resorted to attempting it with VMware. The results are extremely poor. It took at least 8 hours to convert one album and transfer it to the MD. From what I can tell, it seems like converting from MP3 to OMG is the reason. I think that the actual transfer is about the same.
My question is if anyone has been able to reduce the time it takes to convert, or why it seems to take so long? I know that it's a virtual machine and all, but there must be some way to make it process faster...
Have other people tried this? Has it worked? What have you found?
CDs are horribly fragile. A scratch can kill it. I can step on a CD and kill it. I can snap a CD in half easily. You can drop a CD and it could be dead.
CDs are also huge, as are the CD players.
I got my MZ-N510 two weeks ago. I was pretty happy with it. Came with everything I needed, and works perfectly - except for the fact that I live in Canada, therefore, no remote for me  . Otherwise, good job, Sony.
