As a result of the DR-7's new 1-bit amp, it uses a 4-pole plug in on its headphone jack and remote control. I was wondering if anyone knows if I use a regular 3-pole plug cord, to run a line to my computer and dumb the music onto wav files, will it effect the sound quality. Also, I would like to get some new high definition ear phones and they will probably have 3-poles as well, will that effect anything? I've already noticed if I use the 4-pole earphones that I received with the DR-7 with anything else like a disc-man, I can only get one channel of music. On a different note, does anyone know if getting really expensive earbuds like the Sony MDR-E888Lp Fontopia's are really worth the extra $50? Thanks

I have just bought a DR-7 and have not recieved it yet. I read that I will need to buy another adapter for the recharger because I will be using another higher voltage (110) than in japan(100). Minidisco told me it would not matter. Which is right?

I thought I read somewhere that the Sony N10 now allows you to change the recording levels during a recording?

I am buying my first minidisc and have read about all the new ones. I have not found many reviews of the sony MD-N10. I will be doing mostly live recordings. Does anyone have any advice? The sharp DR7 is a little cheaper, and it sounds better for live recordings, however, the sony looks like it made some big improvements from it's early models and it is pretty catchy with its slim look. What do you think?
