  1. I also did not find it easy deciding between the MZ-N10 and the IPOD 10GB PC, but in the end bought an MZ-N10 for these reasons: 1. It's smaller than the IPOD 10GB. 2. It's cheaper than the IPOD 10GB. 3. It can record from any compatible device (stereo/mike/computer etc.) 4. It can play back in the car (using adapter). 5. It can hold more music (using multiple Mini discs). 6. It has a back lit remote. 7. It is more resistant to shock (GProt). 8. It has a longer battery life. 9. ATRAC TYPE R or S is better than MP3 128kbps-320kbps. 10. Can download (PC to MD) and upload (from MD to PC). 11. I assume it will last longer than a HDD based player. If you still want to buy an IPOD try this software for PC: XPLAY at http://www.mediafour.com
  2. See alot of people in Sydney wearing headphones walking to and from work everyday, whether they're MDs I can't tell, the devices are usually buried in jackets, pockets or bags. Haven't seen a MD on the street yet, but two of my colleagues at work have them.

    MD on Airplanes

What about listening to an MD on the plane? I know you can listen during flight, but can you listen during take off and landing, or have they banned the use at these times?
  4. I'm 28, just bought an MZ-N10 - 1st time user.
  5. The following options are generally available for payment of goods/services on the Web: 1. Credit Card (Visa - most accepted) 2. Wire/Telegraphic Transfer 3. Money Order/Bank Draft 4. COD (Cash On Delivery - usually national only) 5. Paypal (link your bank a/c or credit card or both) I have bought goods via Credit Card (preferred), Paypal (1.5% - 5% transaction charge) and COD. These payment options give you some come back over options 2/3 if you don't receive the goods.

    The good prices!

Just ordered an MZ-N10 from minidisct.com http://www.minidisct.com for $359 USD. They are partnered up with Hyperjack.net in Japan. Currently there is a bonus gift of 10 free neige discs + 5 free biancas included in the price. Also ordered a Vanson World Charger (auto sensing) from bluetin.com http://www.bluetin.com for $15.90 USD. Can't wait till the goods arrive!
  7. Hi, What adapter can I use with the MZ-N10 Japan Model? Do I have to use a voltage converter and plug it into the 6V Japan Adapter supplied with the unit or can I throw the Japan Adapter away and use just a single universal voltage converter set to DC 6V. Will this charge the unit? Or is the 6V Japan Adapter supplied with the unit required to charge the unit? Also noticed sony sells a 7ht charger, is this only for the NiMH batteries or will it charge the lithium ion in the MZ-N10 too?
