hi i have the same sort of problem, except i have already bought it. i have an ibook and a beast of a new imac. the only problem is finding the software that will get your ibook to find the md player, although they recognize that they are both there neither know what to do. i suggest you look around on the net and in the shops and if you find any software that would do the job then please post a reply to my query here: http://forums.minidisc.org/viewtopic.php?t...1548&highlight= this will make me forever grateful as the mz-n505 is a briliant machine that is not being used to its full capability hope this helps jobo-jimbo :twisted:

never accept dodgy 2nd hand md players. try taking it somewhere to have it looked at hope this helps jobo-jimbo

im not sure what has happened but try getting it fixed by a profesional. im not sure what you meant by the second bit but you can get them in britain america and canada so you shouldnt have a problem buying them. you can also buy them on the internet reasonably cheaply, i always treat them with suspition though :!: hope this helps jobo-jimbo

Hi Firstly i certainly suggest you get an md player, nowadays you can get them so small it is amazing Secondly, I can hardly notice the differance between the different recording modes, and i think that very few can. Lastly, LP2 is times 2, eg a 90 min disc will then be 180 and LP4 is times 4 for example a 90 min disc will be 360 mins, thats 6 hours and i think that that is amazing for such a tiny thing hope this was of help to you jobo-jimbo

I believe that most programs that people use with netmd players (if thats what you have) automaticaly change your format from mp3 to atraac (if thats how you spell it) I have open md duke box for pc, and although i use a mac i can sometimes get onto a pc and that does change from many formats to atraac. hope thats of help to you jobo-jimbo

once plugged into the car, hi-fi, or additional it is fine, although when you have just earphones in it can be to quiet

I have a charger and a wire that plugs in from the tape deck to my portable md player , i got it from richer sounds, a very good music retailer both together for £20.00 if thats what you meant :?: jo
