Hi all,
I'm new here--got into MD when I lived in Japan in the mid-to late '90s. My old MZ-R50 still plays and records fine, but it has developed a couple of annoying problems over the years (AVLS is on permanently--switch has no effect, and discs will not spring-out upon opening) I really do love this unit though, and I was thinking about looking for a nice example on the used market...
Are there other models of similar "vintage" that you would recommend, or is the MZ-R50 among the best of the "old" portables?
