Thanks, Roland! You've been most helpful. I think I'll try to find the XA-300 locally, so maybe I can get free or discounted installation. I hate taking my own dash off. But I keep a few of the mini-plug to RCA adapters around, comes in handy when I get to a rented studio and plugging my iPod into their stereo so I can listen to my own music while shooting. Thanks. Sorry it that isn't the right forum, however it wasn't net-MD related, so I thought "Non-NetMD" was the right forum (My older car audio head unit cerainly isn't NetMD). If you'd steer me to which forum is correct, I'd happily close the topic and repost on the proper forum. That said, if I understand correctly, the part you mention is what I'd need to go from a mini-plug to an MD head unit in a car? I'll look that part up and try it. Thanks much for the input.

I have a Sony MD player in my truck, and it has capability to also use a CD/MD changer. What I'd like to do is find out if the two leads on the back for the changer would recognize and work with a mini-plug input (wired in for my iPod). Does anyone know? There is also a plug-in for the controller, so I don't know if this wire lets the unit know it has signal coming in or if just signal in on the two leads is enough. Any knowledge on this would be greatly appreciated. -T
