  1. Got it working now. i just blew on the end of it (where the red light is) and it works now. Anyway i've started using the rubber protecters now
  2. buggah, the only reason why i got mine was because i thought that there wasnt a netmd available. guess its to l8 now
  3. The minidisk recorder that i've just bought is nearly exactly what you've described. It has a 2 line remore with back light. It has longplay x4, charging station, carry puch. The only problem is that it isn't a NetMD. For a picture of it goto ]http://www.kelkoo.co.uk/b/a/sbs/uk/consume...er/122901.html]
  4. Thanks to Mystyler and the other peolpe for helping me with learning how to record things onto MD. Now i have anotherp problem. At the mo i use my playstation 2's digital out socket to record onto MD's but after recording 5 disks i now get an error saying Can't Connect when i try making a new recording. I've checked and double checked my connections and made sure that every thing is firmly plugged into the sockets but still get the error Can't Connect. it works when i use the leads that have the Red and White plugs on them but the only problem with that is that it doesn't seperate the tracks. Anyway, any ideas on how to fix the digital problem????
  5. Thanks for the advice Mystyler but i have it working through my Playstation 2 now. What i had to do was press record (which puts me in stand by mode like you said) turn on synk record and then pressp lay on my playstation controler. Anyways it works now and i've just purchased mt self a new sound card. Sound Blaster Audigy which has every socket you will ever possibly need. I am now officialy broke
  6. ok no probs, thanks for at least trying to help. The reason why my soundcard doesnt have an optical out is because i i use the onboard sound that is attached to my motherboard. I have decided to go an purchase a card that does have one though
  7. oh and weres the best place to buy minidisk accessories from (for the uk)
  8. Just today i purchased myself a very nice looking SHarp MDMT888H which was boxed with a RCA Lead and an Optical Lead. My questions are. As this is my first purchase to do wtih MiniDisks i aint got a clue how to record to it. I've gathered from reading up from different threads in this forum that there are a few ways of doing this. One way is to connect your optical cable to your pc and do it that way (but i don't have an optical socket for my PC) the other way is by connecting the RCA lead up to your Hi-Fi and recording it that (but i don't have any RCA sockets on my Hi-Fi). After cursing and shouting and both my PC and Hi-Fi for not having the neccasary sockets i realised that my Playstation 2 has an optical socket so i hook my MD up to my PS2 and start recording, i can hear the music through my headphones but when i actualy stop recording and play back, i hear nowt. Preferably i would like to transfer my files to my MD through my PC but seeing as i don't have an Optical Socket is there another way????? And is it possible to just 'drag n drop' the appropriate files onto the MD (or a similar method becuase i've seen people talking about software for there MD) without having to listen to them all the way through ???? Help is as you can see much needed here because out of my knowledge for technical issues Minidisks are a grey area to me as i've never dealt with them before.
