My beloved IM-DR80 is looking for a new home. I bought it brand new 3 months ago. It's cosmetically and functionally perfect. Selling to fund a laptop purchase. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=9729786581
Audiocubes still has it. It's kind of expensive but with Sharp's sound quality plus NetMD, it's a great recorder.

I believe for N10 and E10 it's a different story since they use Li-ion battery. You want to keep it full all the time. Someone recommended charging it when it drops to two bars.
I would say N710. NetMD takes much less time to transfer than real time recording with R909. NetMD does not transfer true SP, however. But LP2 sounds really good to most people, especially your source isn't CD anyway.
My local Bestbuy only has NF610 and NE410 so maybe you can ask for NF610 ($199 at Bestbuy). N707 would be a better choice if they still have it (most likely not) as it has mic in.
MZ-E310 can only do playbacks so it does not have USB for recording.
MZ-NE410 can record but only through USB/NetMD. The jack that it doesn't have is Line-in/Optical-in.
