My beloved IM-DR80 is looking for a new home. I bought it brand new 3 months ago. It's cosmetically and functionally perfect. Selling to fund a laptop purchase. Thanks. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=9729786581

I found IM-DR80 very loud with sony MDR-D66. I listen to volume 3 at home.

N707 has been discontinued (despite being a great beginner unit). One should be able to pick up a new one for no more than $160.
-
Please don't double post.
-
It's a great deal and it's an excellent unit to begin with.
-
Audiocubes still has it. It's kind of expensive but with Sharp's sound quality plus NetMD, it's a great recorder. http://www.audiocubes.com/product_info.php...products_id=362

I believe for N10 and E10 it's a different story since they use Li-ion battery. You want to keep it full all the time. Someone recommended charging it when it drops to two bars.
-
Wait what? you wrote a program to do NetMD?? Can you explain in details?
-
There is a motor driving the disc to spin - just like a cdrom drive.
-
I would say N710. NetMD takes much less time to transfer than real time recording with R909. NetMD does not transfer true SP, however. But LP2 sounds really good to most people, especially your source isn't CD anyway.

My local Bestbuy only has NF610 and NE410 so maybe you can ask for NF610 ($199 at Bestbuy). N707 would be a better choice if they still have it (most likely not) as it has mic in.
-
Yes. However this one does not have NetMD. http://www.minidisc.org/part_Sony_MZ-G750.html

MZ-E310 can only do playbacks so it does not have USB for recording. MZ-NE410 can record but only through USB/NetMD. The jack that it doesn't have is Line-in/Optical-in.
-
Have you tried a different disc?

Most likely, Sony doesn't include optical out because they get freaked out when people make digital copies of music. This is strange because they already have SCMS for that purpose. As usual, Sony just like to annoy MD users.
-
I would try using a different program to play the music. If that still doesn't work, then it's probably your sound card having jittered signals at the beginning of the song. Just as I thought, not all soundcards with optical out have the same quality ...

The price at SonyStyle is MSRP which is always higher than online stores. etronics.com is a big online retail site. They can sell it cheaper if they buy big volume from Sony. I don't see a reason to stay away from them. This is the beauty of online shopping I guess. http://electronics.bizrate.com/ratings_gui...66,rf--wgg.html

If you have already tried on different computer, sounds like it's not software/driver/OS. It's unlikely, but have you tried a different USB cable? Sounds like something wrong with the N10 hardware. I would ask for an exchange.

Just like many people, my experience with audiocubes was excellent. The owner responded to my emails very quickly. If you have any problems, just email them and the owner will reply timely. Don't worry, they will definitely fix it for you.

The LCD is not backlit. http://www.minidisct.com/forum/showthread....&threadid=11963

What's the sampling rate of your file? I believe sonicstage only takes 44.1kHz.
