  1. Hey mysyler, hows it going? Well, on the CD the 3 secs are pure silence....but i don't know if the cd player emitts any noise that could trip the MD into thinking it's part of the track. Good point though Mystyler.... Yeah the sync rec is for digital rec only...tried with analog and it doesn't initiate  I'm gonna get myself an AC adaptor from dabs.com...it's only £20 (dunno in Aus $ or US $) and it's the only place that sells them in the UK!!! Cheers for your help mate [Mo]
  2. Right, Guest read page 14 very carefully. Down the Analog column where it refers to Recorded Track Numbers it states: "Marked Automatically [*]after more than 2 seconds of blank or low-level segment [*]when the recorder is paused while recording Point 1: The CD I was recording from had 3 seconds of blank - I know this coz I burned the CD myself and always leave 3 secs of blank space as opposed to the basic 2 secs. Point 2: It also states that some track marks maybe recorded incorrectly using the Digital cable...no reference to analog is made. Maybe it's just me...but I'm not too up on Minidisc and I did say this in my initial post. Call me a newbie when it comes to Minidisc, but please don't insult my intelligence. Mo
  3. Er, yeah, thanx "guest" for your 'help'...I've read the manual and there's nothing in there about my query...hence my being on this site.... Thanx Doojiggy for your advice...makes sense now. The first ever MD i recorded was through my pc's sound card and using a 3.5m jack to jack lead (don't know the proper term for it). I'll see if the auto-track marking will work, if not then i'll look round for some decent cd player with optical digital outputs... thanx again...great help and great site! BTW, I'm goldustmo as "guest" in the initial post..that's coz i didn't register! DUH! Mo
