Hello;
My much used JVC R70 recently started to stutter on playback, oo is just unable to play a track while the drive can be heard chirping away, seeking what it doesn't seem to be able to find. During a recent recording session it fiercely protested after some 7 minutes of recording, emitting a long beep though the speakers and staying frozen with "UTOC Writing" on it's screen.
Now I'm no expert, but I'm thinking, could the pickup just be misaligned? Because I've started using it in my car and God knows an 88 MR2 isn't the smoothest thing on the road, especially with bad asphalt.
Long ago I've read about calibration discs and test menus, could the answer lie with such things, or is the unit good for the garbage?
