Hey, I just had a good look at the Service manul for the NWE4/5XX series players. There is no facility to change the volume output. This is purely a hardware issue. Sorry Guys.

these do not work with SS3.X and the currant hardware does not work with Connect-player.

thanks mate. yep,sony is listening to its customers.slowly things are changing.. Like any company,its direction is influenced by its customers-or its shareholders-but the bigger the company the slower the change in direction...speak up,make petitions and constructive critisism-you will be heard!(EVENTUALLY..)

Most Countries have a MySony site,or a VOC portal of some type(Voice of Customer)try your local SonyStyle Site, or store and ask abour 'VOC'. Leave your comments and suggestions there. hope this helps
