Just got a Sharp 190 from the folks at Team Digital. I love it, but here's the question. I recorded some Mp3's from my computer at work onto the MD using the USB/optical link. So far, so good. They sounded great listening to them on the minidisc.
When I got home, I played the MD recording into my PC. Line in, analog, 44.1, 16bit. As I listened on the way in, the recordings sounded the same. When I played back the WAV. files on the computer, I got that fizzy sound like when you convert Mp3's to WAV's.
Didn't the computer see this as regular analog audio? Was the quality I was hearing on the MD playback just a psycho-acoustic trick? Or, am I doing something wrong?
Any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
slim
