okay, i've already done A LOT of reading on MD players (maybe still not enough?) and i'm hooked. i've already owned one MD Player (an AIWA) about 2 years ago but i coudln't find the correct battery to use so i ended up selling it.
what i'm looking for is an MD Player/Recorder that:
-is under $200
-will record songs (primarily) from my PC quickly (i've read about the analog thing through line out but can't u record 32x with usb or something?) --most of the music i'll be putting onto the player are mp3s
-uses AA batteries primarily (not lithium rechargable pls) and lasts long in terms of playback (because i will most likely use an AC adapter for recording at home)
-comes or is compatible with an AC adapter i can buy
-is cool looking
and i live in hawaii, US, if that makes any difference
could someone help me? most of the threads i've seen were specific to certain players. i got a lot of help from this forum though! i liked that link to why MD is better than mp3, heh
oh, i'm not sure if there arleady is one or if it's not needed, but maybe there should be a newbie forum or a sticky to basic things a new person to MD might want to know that's not apparent on MD sites or reviews or ads.
