  1. look mate, i'm not some geek who gives two shits about how many different versions of a codec there are, i'm just saying that if apple refers to it as there default format, then they must be fairly happy its complete. anyway, thats not the point, am i going to be able to transfer my aac files onto my minidisc in the near future?
  2. erm... do u even use an apple computer? didn't think so. aac is now the standard i'm afraid. ipods support it, quicktime supports it and itunes supports it (through quicktime). and it sounds pretty complete to me. "If you have QuickTime 6.2 or later installed, the DEFAULT encoding format is MPEG-4 AAC, a new, compressed format that rivals the sound quality of audio CDs. If you have an earlier version of QuickTime, the default format is MP3 (or whatever you last chose in Importing preferences)."
  3. sorry, i use an apple mac and itunes to import all my music, and aac is now the standard with apple. so i can't really make any suggestions for pc users. maybe try quicktime to convert your music, but you would probably need the pro version
  4. i was interested in buying a netmd so i could copy all my music from my computer to minidisc for use in the car. usually i have to attach my current minidisc to the computer on the analogue input and record in real time. I thought buying a netmd would make this process much simpler and quicker, but am i right in thinking i have to use the nero method and first convert all my music to cdda format and then copy to the md (as i use aac and not mp3)? because this just doesn't seem practical and isn't worth the cost of a new md recorder to me if i can't download all of my tunes to the minidisc in a few minutes, which is the real purpose of the netmd. Does anyone know of a quicker method of dling aac files to a netmd, or will sony be supporting the aac format in the near future?
