  1. I'm 21, have used a mz-r37, -r909, and now have an mz-n10.
  2. Oh my, I should have realized this. I did wonder why the clip looked so strange Don't tell me this worked on the earlier remotes too? .. and it took me a full minute of figuring out to find that you have to insert it back "spring-end" first, not "teeth-end" first.. am I getting old?
  3. On my mz-r909, if you press down the upper-right corner of the lid with a disc inside, you can play from and record to the disc without closing the lid. If you let go of the lid, it will open and the disc will pop out, and if you're recording, the open-lock will be released too. Obviously, no TOC data will be written either. I'm not sure if this is actually useful for anyone, but suppose you want to record something live that probably won't succeed on the first try, like a rehearsal or something. So instead of starting to record -> band botches up -> stop recording -> erase track -> wait for TOC update -> start record.. etc. you can just: 1. insert disc 2. press down the corner 3. start recording 4. band didn't get it right -> release lid 5. insert disc -> press down corner 6. start recording 7. repeat, ad nauseum Now, since the Sony MD's will start recording immediately when you slide the record switch, it'll only take a few seconds to bail out and start a new recording. If you want to continue recording normally, just close the lid completely. This seems to work on my n10 too, but not as smoothly.
  4. What, reversible? How do you reverse it?
  5. Yes, anyone who ordered an N10 from Japan shold have it, that includes me. For anyone wanting this Japanese SS 1.5, I'm going to try to put up some site for downloading this. Be posting more info (next week, maybe)...
  6. Nope, I just got mine from japan-direct.com, and I live in Finland. If they can throw a NetMD halfway around the globe with a 1 year warranty, then they surely can throw it to Australia too As maya said, you need to check the AC current (japan-direct has power converters too). Also, you can record in any mode via NetMD, but the music will always be converted to MDLP, and only then to SP. So you can't get Golden Ear SP-quality
