Well, I guess it is a sad situation. So what is exactly Pc-Link USB adaptor used for?

Hello, I have just borrowed my friend's MZ-R700 MD Player and I'm lost in it. Can I simply drag and drop mp3 files onto md without actual listening time. Or else, How is it possible to record a mp3 without playing it in the same amount of time. What is the fastest way? I have got a Pclink adaptor which goes to USB and I have got OpenMG which I hope that it will work the things out. Thx in advance..
