Hey, I'm wondering if anyone can help me out here. I bought a Sony
MZ-G755 MD about 4 months ago and everything was working fine up until the last week. For some reason, there is now quite a lot of interference - crackling through the headphones, which seems to be increased each time i twiddle the jack at the MD jack socket. I've tried different headphones and there is no change - i've concluded that the jack socket on the MD is definetly faulty.
Another problem however is that the crackling increases and is joined by the LCD display jamming and randomly flashing on and off all the possible disply numbers and symbols at the same time - this occurs simultaneously on the remote control LCD disply also.
This cycle is then completed by the message POOR00 0 00 and
the message Ver 1.300 00 5 flashing up repeatedly. I have checked the trouble shooting section of the manual but it doesn't state this form of message anywhere.
Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
