My Sony MZ-N505 has crapped out. I've dropped a few times over the year I've had it - but this last one seems to have been the knock-out punch. It won't open all the way now and the plastic push button opener seems to be permanently pushed in. It also isn't fully closed and the upper and lower half of the unit don't quite align properly. ~good times~
The unit is no longer under warranty, so I'll have to pay a qualified professional to get it serviced. However, from everything I've read on this forum the cost of the repair is probably going to be close to the cost of replacing it with a new 505. Soooo - I'm not gonna do that.
Has anyone out there performed surgery on one of this badboys? I'm interested to see if anyone has had success.
