this is exactly what happened to my minidisc, i dropped it on the sand, and now it just clicks when i try to play, minidiscs hate the sand it seems......... i think i might try cleaning the lens with a md lens cleaner....

MY sony netmd Mz-N505 has broken, but I still have the fully operational usb cable, would I be able to save money by buying a Netmd without a cable, if so where? Can any MD recorder use the USB cable or am would i have to buy another Netmd.... thanks
