PDubs

I'm a noob, so please bear with me...I have a Sony MD player (MZ-R500) and putting songs on there is no problem. However, it's done through the analog signal so recording speed is 1x and it records the songs as one LONG track. Is there a way to make it such that: 1) I can record at a better speed (either 2x or 4x)? 2) I can record the playlist as played. Meaning, if I have 30 songs, then 30 tracks will be recorded and not just one huge track?
