Hi, Thanks for your replies! FYI, I did buy the Sharp MD-MT290 and I ordered a pair of binaural stereo microphones and a battery filter module with bass roll-off from MicrophoneMadness. This should take care of all my loud recording needs! And Amsterdam is a fine place to live indeed :wink: Menno

Hi, Dutch MD newby here. I'm looking to buy a MD for recording my band at rehearsals and the odd live gig. I have read a lot of your threads here and they have been very helpfull, thanks! I more or less decided on a Sharp MD-MT290, because of it's good reputation for loud live recordings, it's easy to operate and relatively cheap. I know it has a MIC-IN, but what would be the best option for a microphone, say below $150 ??? - what brand? - powered or non-powered? - T-model or ????-model? Any experiences with this MD or other advice would be appreciated!!! Menno Amsterdam, The Netherlands
