  1. I've just upgraded from SS 3.2 to SS 3.4 and I can't find the option of automatically deleting files from HiMD's after they have been transferred. I think SS 3.2 had some menu under "Device/Media" where you could UN-check the box saying "leave tracks on media after transferring" but I don't see anything like this in SS 3.4. P.S. As the description suggests, the option to "delete the converted files from the hard disk after transferring" is not what I'm looking for: I want to do the opposite - delete the files from the HiMD media, not the hard drive.
  2. I've upgraded to sonicstage 3.0 prior to purchasing the new disks, but the upgrade didn't solve the problem. I got the new disks just a couple of weeks ago. After I confirmed that they worked flawlessly, I wanted to share my solution here (hence, the late reply). BTW, I checked - the new disks work fine with Sonic Stage 2.0 also, but the old ones don't. So, it looks pretty certain that that was the disk issue - some early batch(es) were defective, apparently. A.
  3. Thanks for the suggestion. I've done all the things you recommended but to no avail. As a last resort, I decided to buy some new disks and try them. To my delight, I've had no problems with them! Cheers, a.
  4. I have MZ-NHF800 HI-MD recorder and I've only used it for mic-in recordings (via an external mic) in Hi-Sp mode. Quite frequently, when I upload the tracks to my PC, Sonic Stage 2.0 terminates the transfer and I get this error message: "Internal error has occurred." When I listen to the tracks that weren't transferred, I find that they all contain multiple, random "wholes" in the recording (pieces of absolute silence that last anywhere from a couple of seconds to a couple of minutes each). This error always happens when I record the disk to its full capacity. The error occurs most of the time when I have 40 mins or less of recording time left. If there is more than 40 mins left, I have no problems at all. I've used 4 different HI-MD disks and all of them do the same thing. Has anyone here experienced similar problem? I am just trying to see if this is an inherent shortcoming of the Hi-MD media or if I got a malfunctioning recorder. I would really appreciate if somebody could record their HiMD-disk to its full capacity from a mic and see what happens. Thanks for any help! apropos
  5. Once I upload an Hi-Sp recording from my Hi-MD to my PC, is it possible to convert the recording into a WAV format?
