Im gettin this from a friend, it says it has a PC Link cable with it. I dont think it is a Net MD, but can i transfer MP3s onto it like through SimpleBurner?

I am gettin one of thse from a friend for cheap. I want to record live concerts with it, what mic should i get for it? I dont want to spend a ton though.
