thanks for the response maj... err so how much am I looking at, price wise? any clue? When you say "a bit" are you understating or being literal ??

Like a dumb@$$, I bought a sharp 702MK on Half.com (a subsidiary of ebay). After one day of owning it, I took it outside- it was very foggy that day. The buttons stoped responding. I let it sit to "evaporate" as the manual recomends and after 5 or 6 hours (not 1 as described) it recovered. Since then it has gone in and out twice after long trips outside in winter weather, but up till now it has recovered. Today I tried to use the thing and it has stoped working merely from siting in my room for a few days, no mosture or environmental effects. It will turn on automaticaly when I insert a disc, and sometimes (depending on the disc) auto start the first track. But I cannot change the volume, stop playing, change the bass, anything else. I've tried both the built in butons and the remote. It seems to work for breif seconds when I change the disc Im playing, but it only works once. Is this familiar? anybody know if its fixable? The guy I bought from is ignoring my emails...
