Hello, :cry: I have problems with power on of my MDS-501. The red led (stand-by) burns and I hear the relais clicking. The power on button does not work and the display stays black. Because the recorder is fairly old it will be too expensive to send it to a Sony Service Centre. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips to repair it? Or does anyone have a service manual for this recorder? This recorder has never let me down so I like to get it right again Greetings from Holland Yde I repaired it!! The print behind the AMS knob was broken. I head to repair 6 copper lines on the print. On this print is the microprocessor which controlls the recorder. Maybe this is a tip for anyone with the same problem.
