I know that a MiniDisk plays audio. What I want is to hit play on the mini-disk and have it send a simple "start" signal to a click generator (drum computer). Drummer has the bpm dialed in and basically we end up with the mini-disk synched to the click.

Here is my situation... I do a lot of sequencing at home via ProTools and Reason. I use this sequenced audio to support my band's music in the studio. I would like to bring this element of the band to the live show. I was wondering if you knew of a Minidisc device that has a midi out on it that would allow me to synch the playback of the audio files to a click machine attached to my drummer's headset.. Any ideas?
