  1. "@ BobT--Sure, you can record and play on one unit, or save the recorder for recording and get a player. But a little flash player with a lot of storage and no moving parts makes more sense for jogging, car trips, etc., as mentioned in the original post." A440 I realize what you're saying, but with flash you are limited by size, if you want more you delete and replace, with MD you pop in another disc, different strokes for different folks I guess, I do agree though that Hi-MD is the way to go Bob
  2. any good speaker wire is indistinguishable from each other. I laugh at the cable manufacturers that advertise they use many strands to minimize the skin effect of high frequencies. The only time skin effect comes into play is in the gigahertz range, don't think many people hear that high. Bob
  3. I still can't figure out why you can't record and play on the same unot A440, mine seem to do them both very well, my advice, get an RH1 and a 500, best of alllllll possible words. My opinion only, but probably the opinion of many on this board, Have fun, and let us know what you choose, Bob
  4. Got one in my car as well, no other way to go. I'm glad I'm not like everyone else Bob

  7. gr8 video, lets all goto youtube and play the heck out of it he he Bob
  8. Cayman islands great, especially this one, 140 people, way laid back, close to Cuba, all good. As for recording, Hi-MD is simple, you can line in from your mixer, or many of the Mic recommendations in the recording section, and when you're done, easy upload into the puter, don't get confused about FLC and everything else, just save as WAV, then you can do what you want with it, send CD's to all your friends , demos to record companies, market your own, possibilities!! Have fun Bob
  9. Hi Dive, definitely the catsuit did it!!! The thing to remeber with Hi-MD, is that you are able to digitally upload it to your computer through the uSB cable at faster than real time, plus with a 1 Gig disc you can put more moosic on it. Reality is that they all record fine and if your are comfortable just listening, or recording realtime into the puter, thats fine too. We welcome you back to the board. didn't notice he Portugal tag, beautiful country. Happy days, Bob
  10. Try updating your video drivers and see what happens Bob

  13. You could also go to Radio Shack or an equivalent and get a small inverter, plug your cradle into it, and voila charging in the car. Have fun Bob
  14. MDA, an informal "club" anyone can be a member, roughly speaking Mini Disc Anonymous. or Addicted, same thing, you just pledge allegiance to the Source, pull the donkeys tail, and your in Bob
  15. I had some crash issues with 4.3 in my Vista system, ends up my problem was one of my memory chips wasn't firmly seated, caused no end of problems. Try reseating your memory and see what happens Bob

  21. I think I'll order one with my Christmas bonus thiss year, might even be able to afford the record lock for the platter. Interesting turntable, but I like my Revox just fine, (when I see it) Bob
  22. Hi Wiz, how about flambeur, will that one little letter change thongs, may fit anyways in an earlier post was said it's a gambler, the mug on a card seem to fit that, Thanks Bob
  23. Will the CD actually play from that drive, do you have DVD that you can try from? usually the reason something doesn't get picked up is because the drive vanishes, check in properties that the drive is set to function. Do you have SS installed, try going to at least 3.4, you need it for SB to operate, Good luck, Bob
