Haven't heard lately from minidisc australia, but they had several packages for reasonable prices, some made it to minidisco and minidisccanada, reasonable prices, although you may want to upgrade the mic. Another option is plugging your line in into the line out of your mixing board if you have one. Good luck, Bob

Nice setup. where in Saskatchewan are you, have relatives all over the province. Take care, Bob

What I would do if I were me, and concerned on sound quality, or lack of, is record the same song at different bitrates and see what happens. I've got an NH1 also, and I usually just fill up a disc with MP3's. No matter what, they will never sound as good as a CD, so try a few for the best compromise of sound and space. Have fun, Bob
-
What you have now is a copy of your MP3's on minidisc, you could go back yo your computer, or anothe computer and use it to play off your unit, but if you want to liste, again, you need Sonic Stage, get 3.4, as well as simple burner, for when you want to put a cd onto minidisc.

Not really sure if you've ever heard of a little band called "Smashing Pumpkins". I have a feeling you sort of might like them Bob

Try fraesus in the classifieds section, I got an NH1 from him, he may still have some 900's. Good luck, Bob
-
Only if you record them onto a Hi MD recorder first. Bob

Have you actually used Sonic Stage or Simple Burner. Both are EASY to use, .both will do what you need to do, which is put music onto a device. Decide what you want and go for it, I use my NH1 all the time in a couple of vehicles, either with a casette adapter, or an adapter cable, works just fine.

The version I downloaded off this site asks me what country I live in, in the "A" group, whatever country I choose goes to that countries connect page. If I choose the "b" group, it doesn't even list my country, and wants my e-mail to tell me when it is available in my country. Whay not just have a generic connect that lets you conduct business in your own currency??? Bob

Yes you can, but you need sonic stage or simple burner to put listenable music on it. Bob

It's probably close to worn out, My 707 doesn't record anymore, and randomly wipes discs, so I just use it for playback of prerecorded which can't erase, and use my NH1 for everything else. Take care

Hi Paul, I know it works on an MZ-N707, a couple of feature don't work, but the unit itself does work. I would imagine if the pins fit the unit will wrk I believe there is an article in the archives on remotes as well Take care, Bob

Hi TJ Minidisc Canada (minidisccanada.com) has a sa;e right now of some units drom Australia, your best bet would be the MZ-NH900 of they have any left, if not the NH800 would work, as well as ther NH910 and RH10, but they are a bit more money. You will be very happy, I just used My NH1 this weekend to do some recording down here, turned out great. Hope you like the experience, and welcome to the forums. Take care, Bob

Have you tried it with differnt headphones, or a different disc? How about an adapter cable to stereo? Sounds like you might have a dirty headphone jack. You could try a little vaseline on the jack and insert a few times, if that doen't work, try a decent service shop, thet should be able to get it going. If it costs any more that 30 or 40 dollars it will be cheaper to ge a new unit like the NH600 or similar. Good luck, Bob

I get at least 12 hours listening out of mine, haven't done much recording so can't give you an adea in that department, hope you like you'res, I love mine Bob
-
Excellent, we marck to world domination.

I have a cable with a Canon camera and it worked fine with my 707
-
Your best bet is to look for a HiMD with mic, minidisc Canada and minidisco have some of the Australian packages, as well find fraesus in the classified section, prices are good and you can upload. The 707 does have a mic input, and does a good job of recording, but the record head wiring has problems after a while. Go for a NH800 or 900 and you will be very happy. Good luck, Bob

I'm not sure, but I think the RH10 uses a normal USB, I know the NH1, and I think n10 use a proprietery cable, but if you have a camera or other usb cable try it, if it fits it will work. Good luck, Bob

Other things to try, turn off javascript unless needed, turn off cookies unless needed, clear your cookies often, clear your cache often. Even if you use Mozilla, Nestcape, Firefox or Opera, go to control panel, and internet settings, and clear cookies, and files (including offline content). Amazing how much stuff finds it's way there. Get one e-mail account that is your dedicated junk e-mail repository, or give a spoof e-mail if you don't want an answer back, but don't use someone elses e-mail. Always be careful and paranoid. Bob

Can you burn a CD of the offending files if they are the same ones all the time, and use simple burner to get them to MD. Good luck, Bob
-
The only way to find out is to try, everyone has different hearing limits.
