Free audio storage = www.archive.org/audio/etree.php. If the band you are recording is listed as an approved band, you can upload/download to your heart's content. If you want to get a band approved (and you have a band contact) there is a means to do this as well.

But will you have to navigate through 600 menu levels to get to the setting to allow manual level controls? Will the setting be persistent, instead of reverting back to auto level control? Just curious...

Will the new Sony Hi-MD units allow the recording levels to be adjusted on the fly without having to drill down through a set of menu options to enable it (i.e. when using the line input will you be automatically able to adjust the levels as you are with Sharp units)? Is there any news as to when Sharp will be coming out with a Hi-MD unit?
