  1. Recently, I've been messing around the music playing capability of the PS3. The PS3 can rip CDs into ATRAC files. Problem is that the two don't seem to play nice together. I was hoping someone else could shed a little light on it. Here's what I've learned so far. ATRAC files ripped from a CD on the PS3 are .aa3 files. The sound great on the PS3, and SS recognizes and plays them just fine. The problem is going the other way. Files ripped using the same codec in SS show up as .oma files, which the PS3 decides are corrupt. There's a lot of music in SS that I'd love to be able to transfer to my PS3 without having to re-rip it. Anyone have suggestions or know of a way to convert .oma to .aa3. I'm not even sure what the differences between the two are.
  2. I agree with you. It's a pain in the ass. That's why I almost always use simple burner.
  3. The first thing I did after installing SS 3.0 is to return all of the settings to the way I had them on 2.3. That included telling SS to do nothing when a disc was inserted. I have a Sony DVD RW drive in my laptop, and had no issue burning a DVD using my usual burner software after the SS 3.0 install. Hope your problem is fixed.
