I subscribed to a site and thought I could download files. Turns out they are on a server in real audio format. Any way to record these as they are playing? I can get permission to do so from site owner. thanks, David

I record numerous phone interviews. Currently use a Radio Shack adapter between phone and cassetter recorder. Would like to switch to MD. Best--and least expensive--players you recommend for this? I plan on continuing to use the Radio Shack adapter unless someone has a better idea/set-up. This would be my first MD, so I am trying to figure all this out. Thanks, David

Got my first MD player a Sony MZ-N510 to record telephone interviews (with permission). My set up is through a Radio Shack device that goes from the phone to Line In (optical) on the MD. When I record and playback at maximum volume it is barely audible. I manually increased the input volume to max. Am I doing something wrong? Is there better way to do it? Better unit or better brand? BTW I used the same phone set up with a basic tape recorder and the volume was decent. Thanks in advance, David
