  1. Thanks for the info. You're right, they are sampled at 32khz. However, Sony Tech Support claims that 32khz will work. I'll try your idea and let you know the outcome. Is there a way to convert the wav files back to MP3 at a higher sampling rate so I can get more files on one MD? Thanks again
  2. Thanks for the reply. I don't think the MD is defective. I returned the first one and got a new one with the same results. MP3 music plays just fine as well as other types of files. It's just the MP3 speech files that I am having problems with. Thanks again,
  3. :wacky: I need some advice on a problem recording with a new Sony MD, model MZ-N510CK, please. I have been trying to record the Bible in MP3 files to my MD. When it transfers, the sound is heard in double or triple time...sounds like Donald Duck. The MP3 files on my PC and CD play okay, so I know the files are good. Also, MP3 music records to MD just fine. Other speeches in other formats are okay also. I have tried several other downloaded radio messages in MP3 format and they record in "fast" sound also. I have tried all I know to do (I am new to MD) even contacting Sony Tech Support. Sony said the MD was defective, so I returned it to Best Buy and got another one. It didn't solve the problem. The results are the same. Does anyone have a solution? Thanks,
