  1. what model md is it? i have a n510 and it has a groove cut in next to the battery hump for a strap of some sort. so i took a trip to radio shack and found a digital camera neck band ( its really long), and just tied it around the groove in me md.
  2. well when the unit is plugged into an aux power source (ie the ac adapter), all the functions work fine. When i use a battery, the display disappears and the buttoms turn into group forward/backward buttons for some reason. the fast forward, rewind, and stop buttons work fine, but all the other ones change the group setting. anyway im most likely going to get the 12elk, thanks for you advice.
  3. So I recently received an R55 remote from a disgruntled friend who lost a bet:), besides that, I am trying to use it with my MZ-N510 recorder. However this is really weird, becuase when I press play on the remote, the backlight starts up and it appears to be working, but then as soon as the MD plays, the remote just turns off. But if i press play on the md player, the remote works until I press something on the remote, and then it just turns off. When I use the ac adapter, it seems that it all works like a dream. This is really confusing, and if someone could please give some insight into how to fix this, i would be grateful.
  4. thanks kurisu, do you mind telling me where you read that?
  5. alrighty, so i hacked my mindisc, and it works like a dream except for the pdm. I read some other threads, and they stated the quick mode will keep the pdm mode working, becuase thats essentially how it works, by keeping enough power throughout the player to help it remeber the settings. but the quick mode will stop after one hour of it not being bothered (its buttons pushed etc.). so if there was a way to find a hack that would allow quick mode to last forever, or until the battery ran out, i think we could get PDM to finally work.
  6. i also own an mz-n510, and unfortunately for some odd reason, sonicstage doesn't transfer files longer than 35 minutes.
