Does anyone sell a alarm clock with a mini disk player and does anyone sell a mini or a bookshelf system with a mini disk system. I want to do 2 things, copy my cd's to mini disk, so my wife can take the cd's and I want to record from my sattelite radio to my mini disk

Well, while i am now pretty sure that I will just wait until Hi-Md comes out and get pretty top of the line one of those... On one hand I would like to be able to listen to my favorite tv shows, if I am out working late. On the other hand, I have never really listened to any of the various compression schemes, so I dont know if they sound notice-ably different from a regular old mini-disk. And until i start reading reviews on here, i wont know if the Hi-Md sounds a lot different from the MD that I have now. But, to my suprise, from reading here , I have learned that not all of the MD that are out now, sound a like. My preference, what is most important to me, is the quality of the sound that I have recorded on my mini-disk from copying CD's or from live recording. And I am willing to pay to get the best quality along with the best battery life and the longest recording time. Whether it has TV sound or not is optionally. There are other ways to get that...I am really thinking that I am going to get the top of the line Sony CD player, the sports model that has TV sound and optical out put to use to play CD's that I will be copying to Mini disk

up until now , my md collection has been made up of Cd's that i have copied. I now have DSL so getting info across the net is no problem for me. In the past I have Kazaa'd a few songs but now this is 2 full of viruses and 2 illegal. But the one thing i remember about those songs was they didnt sound very good. What r the best places on the net to buy music downloads, are there any at leas semi legal places to snarf music and what is the best format to record in? I have a MZ-R90 right now but i am in the market for my next MD. Can you still get a CD player with optical out? By the by, I run live sound for PA, I have pretty good ears... part of the reason I got the MD, when the still cost $500 was to record what i did sound wize

Can you still get a Sony Desktop computer with a Mini-Disk Drive or better yet, can you get a mini disk drive for a computer?

I have a MZ-R90 that still works great even though it is 4 years old. I havent used it alot though. Recently, like yesterday, I got the Milwaukee Jobsite radio, which has Rockford Fosgate electronics and is really making my Mini-disk sound great. I cant wait to get it all to a job site so I can blast it. I have been reading through some of the forums and learned that some of the MD Players sound better than others. At times I like to listen to TV if I am working late and was considering getting the AM FM TV tuner MD , which i could then plug into my radio and then I would be able to listen to everything. At almost $200 though I am really leaning towards waiting and getting a HiMD and finding another way of getting my TV audio. But does any one have one of the AM FM TV MD's ? do they sound any better or worse than mt MZ-R90?
