Ok I hear you guys, lots of you complain about the incompatibilty of Hi-MD with MP3, that is forcing us to convert to ATRAC to listen to music on the move. I don't care, to me MP3 is not a religion just a format. Though, I'm wondering about the data part of HiMD: since the drive is recognized as a regular disk or USB key in Windows, it should be possible to drag and drop MP3 files (as well as any other file types) without Sonicstage knowing (and stopping) it . Of course, it would be impossible to listen to them but it would be ok to copy files from a computer to antoher or to archive files (I don't trust DVD and CDs because they are not physically protected). Do you think there is a chance?
