  1. Didn't think that there was that option in sonicstage but used the windows shortcut and that worked thanks! Simon
  2. Sorry I meant the actual database file not the music files themselves, they are all safe and secure in my music organised by itunes, I just want to get rid of the file containing all the information about the database. Simon
  3. Ok I really want to delete my database and import everything again as it's a mess but I've tried reinstalling several times and erasing all traces of sonicstage off my computer yet still I cannot seem to start a fresh database, where is the file located so I can send it where it belong sin the recycle bin because I've got bored of deleting things manually from within soncistage already! 4. To use My favourite 100 and play history you actually have to play music on your player and then when you next connect to Connect it sorts everything out for you depedning on what you have been listening to, I found it actually to be really good. Connect won't create a top 100 based on what you listen to in connect although it does influence the Intelligent Shuffle feature (which above all of Connects other quirks I think is the best shuffle out there) within connect. Also if you want Artist Link to work trying enabling it in connects options then plug the player in and just leave connect up and the player plugged in for awhile, connect only seems for me to update artist link when everything else is done and when it's pretty idle. HTH Simon
  5. Yes I believe this functionality has always been there in connect player as Gracenote logo used show on other versions of connect but now the status bar at the bottom gives better details as to what the player and connect are doing most of the time. Normally after you have added new tracks to your library and connect your player and the artist link features are enabled in connect it will update the artist link. Simon
  6. Make sure you are losing the latest version of connect and I find after ID3 tag changes it can be hit and miss. Sometimes I can get them to change by pressing the artist link button on the player and it updates itself with connect(suppoesdly) if that fails, try disconnecting and reconnecting the player. If that fails if you select the songs you want updating and drag them into the player it should say skipping because there already on there but they should get updated or hopefully they will get updated when you next transfer some music. I say hit and miss but I do not think it's quite as bad with the latest version of connect. Hope one of these works for you. Simon
  7. This isn't exaclty a useful comment but I take the attitude that storage is cheap nowadays when ripping cd's and so I just rip them all at 320kbps MP3 them I am sure they are of the best quality they can be and will be compatible with many devices. Maybe 320kbps is a little over the top but it's not exactly filling my hd and my NW-A3000 is only half full as it is.
  8. I have over 1500 tracks on my NWA-3000 all in 320kpbs MP3 and recently my comp went down for a few days and i was using line out mode for several hours at a time and pretty much using it non stop till I got my comp back up and plugged it back into the USB to charge and it still hadn't run out of battery. That was with the display set to auto off after 15secs and playing mostly my fav 100 on shuffle with little screen use. Obviously you will never be able to achieve the players quoted 35hours but lets face it this player does have pretty good battery life compared certain other devices available today so I wouldn't worry too much.
