  1. In the last paragraph.. I mentioned that I was going to try the optical out solution. Also I will go with your recommendation and un-install Realplayer and go with the Sonic Stage 2.0 solution and give that a try. The encoded files are of the CBR variety.
  2. So here's a really wierd problem. I create mp3's. Yes... I don't rip.. but create. I have a place where I can stream music (in good quality) basically listen on demand. I then have another independent mp3 encoder program which "records" mp3's from the sound card directly and saves them to the harddrive. Been doing this for a few songs and I get very good quality (I'm using a SB external USB sound card to get the best quality). So I try getting a song from Paul Oak., mp3 gets created just fine and I'm able to play it in any mp3 player, no problem (rio..) or winamp on the computer. Here's the kicker .. I try uploading this song via Real Player plugin to my netmd (NZ505) It goes about 5% - 10% and then and it complains that disc is full please check disk and try again. Of course only a few songs on the minidisc so definitely no problem there. Then I use the same method and try a diff. song from a diff. album say.. Kid Rock... (this is within 10 mins of creating the previous mp3). Mp3 transfers just fine into NetMD !!! I go back to trying to create the Paul Oak. mp3 again, same trouble, it just will not upload to netmd. I decode the mp3 to .wav... Same crap, it will not upload to Netmd ??!?!?? Basically there were a couple more songs available from that particular Paul Oak. album and same trouble... it will not upload to the netmd. Plays in every other player / software. Every other song thru. the streaming site -> mp3..works great. I'm using the lame encoder for creating the mp3's. What in the world is going on ? The SB USB sound card has an optical out, so tonight I'm going to try and "record" the streaming song directly to my NetMD and I will try to update this topic later. If anyone has had trouble with something like this.. please let me know.
