What is the difference between recording and digital recording? The rest sounds pretty reassuring I think I will enjoy the minidisc. Are there any websites or specific places to look for more info on the player I have? Thanks for taking the time to respond!

Hi, this is my first post here. I was recently in the market for a form of portable media. At first I was interested in the whole MP3 player scene, but I quickly got frustrated with the many types of players and cost of cards/microdrives. I then discovered minidiscs and on a "I-am-frustrated-and-must-buy-something-NOW!" fueled impulse I purchased the first minidisc player that looked decent to me. To make a long story short I own a Sharp MD-MS702 MK. It didnt take long for me to find out this player is a little old, and that isnt all. I know absolutely nothing about minidisc players or how to use them. :wacky: It has become appaernt that I can't hook this thing to my computer and download songs onto it. Actualy I am wonder what all I will need to record decent songs with it. It's going to be a couple days before it gets here to me, and I would like to know what to do with it when I recieve it. According to the gentleman I bought it from its a non used unit that was only taken out of the box to photograph. It contains everything it originaly comes with except some of the minidiscs. Anyway, to cut this long post down to the chase. I have no specific questions, because I don't know much about my wholly unresearched purchase. Will it sound as well as a cd player? How do I record to it? Is the unit I bought any good at all? Anything anyone can offer would be great. thanks
