Am considering purchasing a SHARP MT-280 for making field recordings.
Any comments? It seems kinda inexpensive so I'm a little concerned it might not be up to the task?

Have spotted what seems to be a great deal on a SHARP MT-280 but when I tried to check out the specs/reviews on the web I couldn't find them anywhere..
I want to use my minidisc for making field recordings so my requirements are quite simple:
(i) mic-in (not requiring seperate power)
(ii) change recording level on the fly
(iii) reasonable battery life when recording in SP would be nice & taking regular AA batteries inside the unit would be nice too since I won't always have access to a power outlet for recharging
Anyone out there have one of these or perhaps have any info for me???
