  1. Thanks MDX-400, I thought it might not be economical to repair, I know a guy who dabbles in electronics I will see what he has to say given your advice. It's such a pity the unit looks like new cost me £170 and has had little use, I will not buy another Aiwa!
  2. It has nothing to do with the battery I can tell you that much, this has happened to myAM-F80 three times now. The first time it happened the unit was only a few weeks old, I took the unit back and the supplier tried two new batteries before finally sending it away to be repaired. It has just happened again for the third time, I would love to know what causes this. On the last (second) repair, was a reference to padding settings, and a repaired switch...does this mean anything to anyone??? It's a great player and recorder but sooooooo unreliable.
  3. Can any please advise on this problem... I have an Aiwa AM-F80 that displays no adj! when I plug the charger in, it refuses to play or do anything, and is completly dead on battery power. It has occured twice before. But the player was repaired under uk warranty FOC. Now the warranty is out it has happened again, I really miss listening to my music late at night, it cant be too serious, probably needs reseting; but how? I tried the reset button on the rear with no joy. Any advice anyone might have would be greatly appreciated. THX
