Just got a mz-r909 with the cradle.. when it sits on the cradle it doesnt show that it is charging on the screen, is this correct? will the charge light go out when its full? many thanks

my mz-r55 did exactly the same and it was diagnosed as the laser... i bought a mz-r900 instead and bined the r55

thats what i thought. only i tried it in the md player and put a disc in and it spun the disc, then spun it some more, and some more..... swapped back to the 1350mha battery and it read the disc straight away??? i wondered if it was to powerfull???

Just bought a second hand mz-r900. Its in fantastic condition and works perfectly. i just have a question about the battery. With my old mz-r55 i was using a sony 1400mha battery but this mz-r900 uses a 1350mha battery? can i use the 1400mha in the mz-r900?? thanks in advance

oh and also, i have just been looking at some other bits on this forum including that reset guide. it says its for mz-rxx models but my service settings are different. it says it is version 1.5 is this normal for the mz-r55? does anyones know a reset setting for the mz-r55 ta

just tried with the battery and its still playing up. what caused the error do you think? working fine one minute and not the next and it all happened when the battery went dead!?

hi, thanks. sorry for the millions of messages. i was just pretty pee'd off it stoped working. i have tried running from the power and it behaves the same. i have had the battery out for 24 hours now. is that a long enough rest do you think?

now i cant get it to work at all??? i tried running through the assy test thing and it always stops at '63', doesnt give an error....just stops... is it broken?

right, i downloaded the service manual and was having a go with the settings. if i go into the settings and press the 'track back' button it goes into the (assy mode) and i can hear the laser moving. then i disconnect the power and try the disc and it works. if i then remove the disc and then put it back and try again, it doesnt work again......

Hi, i have a sony MZ-R55. i was listening to track 2 when the battery went flat and the unit stoped. i swaped to my second battery and now the unit will not respond atall. when i put a disk in and close the case the spinning disc icon is shown but after about a minute it says 'disc error' and then if i open and close again it says 'no disk'. i have tried leaving the battery out for a few minutes but its doesnt help. its almost like it needs a reset??? help please! thanks
